POLICE INVESTIGATING SUDDEN DEATH ON FERRY ISLAND

Terrace RCMP are investigating after a deceased man was located on Ferry Island Wednesday night.

On June 24, around 11:30 p.m., Terrace RCMP responded to a report of a missing person at the Ferry Island Campground. According to the call, the man had not been seen for more than an hour near the back trail of the campground.

Police attended the area and located a deceased man in the water near the path. Police and the BC Coroners Service are investigating.

UPDATE: Terry STEVENS, turned himself into police without incident on June 26, 2020.

Terrace RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating Terry STEVENS, a Nass Valley man wanted on an arrest warrant.

STEVENS, age 30, is wanted in relation to Forcible Entry, Assault, and Breach Release Order charges out of Terrace.

  • 5’9 inches in height
  • 150 pounds
  • Slender build
  • Black hair
